Dry, open woodlands dominated by Pinus monophylla and juniper.

Adults collected July-September.

Forewing with raised scales. Forewing primarily white, though dentate bands with strongly contrasting black borders. Patches of reddish scales in subbasal area and following antemedial and postmedial lines. Male genitalia: Uncus constricted and rounded apically. Valve with hooked apical projection and lacking an accessory spine. Female genitalia: ductus bursa sclerotized with strong longitudinal fluting.

Unknown, though based on distributional data, Pinus monophylla may be the host (Neunzig 2004).

Specimens collected in Nevada and southeastern California.
