Found on river banks in rather coarse, completely sterile sand close to water.
Member of the lachnophoroides group (subgenus Actedium). Pale, reddish brown, head and prothorax dark aeneous, elytra with very faint metallic lustre and an obsolete dark band behind the middle; antennae and maxillary palpi darkened towards tip. Length 4.5 to 4.8 mm.
