scientific name    Adoxophyes negundana

Rich river valleys and towns with Manitoba Maple.

June to September.

The forewing is straw yellow with fine brown reticulation throughout. An irregular brown median band and apical patch are both edged in darker brown. The male has a distinct costal fold on the forewing. The hindwing is pure white. The eastern A. furcatana (Walker 1863) is paler but only reliably separated by looking at genitalic differences.

Probably of no concern.

Greetings. Thanks for making information about Adoxophyes negundana available online. I would like to know, from where was this "identification" information obtained?

Danny Shpeley (2013-11-15)
The author of the species page would have based his identification on the two available specimens.
